August 19 2019 marks the 10th anniversary of World Humanitarian Day, a day designated by the United Nations General Assembly to recognise the efforts of those championing humanitarian causes and those who have lost their lives doing so. This year’s commemoration is captioned #WomenHumanitarians. Amidst the many activities planned by The Maria-Nina Foundation this year for the 18th and 19th of August, in step with this year’s caption, women from the Guzape community who have worked tirelessly to improve the welfare of the community will be recognised.

The Maria-Nina Foundation will be commemorating the World Humanitarian Day by organising a series of charity activities including a community development and health promotion / disease prevention drive. More details will be placed here soon.
