The Maria-Nina Foundation is an international organisation named for its founder. For over a decade, we have been dedicated to multiple aspects of community development and health.
We believe in the Japanese philosophy “Kaizen” and extrapolate it to the work we do, so that we can assist communities to improve their health and living conditions incrementally, one person at a time and aspire to influence others to do the same.

We envision a world where equality and equity in every aspect of life are the norms, especially for people living in low and middle-income countries. We recognize that a good start in life is invaluable to a fair chance for people to thrive beyond basic survival, to compete in life and to eventually contribute to society. Therefore, public health is at the core of our functions; we aim to promote health and prevent disease by educating and bringing health services closer to the people and to address the specific social determinants of health in the communities we serve.
